from Blood Pudding Press for the dusie kollektiv 3

Announcing HUMORESQUE...

A poetry chapbook by E. Tracy Grinnell, published by Blood Pudding Press as part of the dusie kollektiv 3 chapbook swap project.

Everyone who is part of the kollektiv will be receiving a complimentary copy of this tome; a few extra copies are available in the Blood Pudding Press etsy shop at http://www.bloodpuddingpress.etsy.com/.

From the author's statement: "A poem in series, 'Humoresque' is a meditation on Moreau's rendering of Sappho's death--her body at rest on the rocks and her lyre broken. As in Negulesco's film of the same title with Joan Crawford as Helen Wright, the death is watery, willful, and melodramatic--suicide born of refractions, false reflections and failed conjectures"

Mini clothes-pinned, frontispieced with special paper, ribbon-bound with black or brown, the cover is a dark blue glittery expanse for one to enter into like walking into the sea...

"This is a beautifully made chap, one I recommend all get their hands on. Juliet Cook did a fabulous job creating E Tracy Grinnells chap. It is sparse, elegant and a most excellent introduction for the Dusie Chaps to come! Yeah for Blood Pudding!"

Susana Gardner, poet and dusie press editor
