NEW in the January 2020 issue of Ghost City Review! - OTHERWORLDLY FORCE FIELD by Juliet Cook and j/j hastain

"A herd of deer across the street stare at me, as if
trying to determine if I'm friend or foe
but I don't know the answer. What if I'm rabid?
All I know is I want my hair to be the color of a fawn,
but it just keeps turning white."

from the poem "OTHERWORLDLY FORCE FIELD" by j/j hastain and Juliet Cook
delighted to have this poem appearing in the NEW January Issue of GHOST CITY REVIEW and excited to read the rest of the issue ðŸ–¤ðŸ’™ðŸ–¤

NEW in Ghost City Review - "Please Respond" by Juliet Cook and j/j hastain

"the foliage starts on fire inside the oven.
The worlds last redwood forest appears there,
singing songs from the perspective of prized trees,
blood spewing out of their broken branches,
bird nests screaming, biohazardous wings."
in the poem "PLEASE RESPOND" by Juliet Cook & j/j hastain, in the new July issue of Ghost City Review

NEW! "Flying Knives and Entrails" by Juliet Cook and j/j hastain inside Ghost City!

The July issue of Ghost City arrived one day early (even though I'm posting about it here two days after its arrival) and starts with a poem by Juliet Cook and j/j hastain!
"Side effects may include abnormal
discoloration of everyone's tongues
turning into cannon balls,
flinging magma at the proprietor
who called us all dogs,
tried to cut off our burning tails,"
(from "Flying Knives and Entrails" by Juliet Cook and j/j hastain)
